01Context

Namogoo sold AI-powered ecommerce personalization to major global retailers: an enterprise product whose models watched live shopping sessions and acted on them. When I joined there was one designer. No design system, no hiring pipeline, no shared standard for what good looked like.

02My Role

Director of Product Design. I founded the function and grew it from one designer to a team of eight, establishing hiring, onboarding, career frameworks, and the craft culture from scratch, while owning creative direction for the product itself.

03The Hard Problem

Making model output legible and trustworthy. The product's customers were operators at large retailers acting on AI predictions about live visitor behavior. If they couldn't read what the model was saying, or didn't trust it, the AI was worthless regardless of accuracy. That was the design problem, years before LLMs made "designing for AI" a category.

04Decisions That Mattered

The design system came first.

One designer becoming eight, across an enterprise product used by global retailers, multiplies inconsistency fast. The company's first design system went in early so the team could scale without the product fragmenting.

Hired for a culture, not just headcount.

Hiring, onboarding, and career frameworks were built from scratch, so each new designer raised the bar instead of diluting it. The org outlived me, and so did the standard.

Treated AI legibility as the core craft.

Operator interfaces were designed around making predictions readable and trustworthy: what the model believed, how confident it was, and what the operator should do about it.

05What It Became

Namogoo is now Wandz.ai, an adaptive-CX platform that predicts visitor intent from in-session, non-PII data and acts on it in real time, across three layers: Core (predictive models, audiences, events, affinity), Activate (adaptive interactions, search, A/B testing, and the hijacking-prevention line), and Analyze (ask the data anything in natural language). Wandz.ai was acquired by AB Tasty.

The screens below are today's Wandz.ai, after my time. The team, the system, and the AI-legibility craft behind them are what I built.

06Why It Matters Now

Everything I do with AI today, the agent OS, the AI-native team at ZoomInfo, started here: years of making machine predictions legible enough for humans to bet revenue on. The discipline didn't change. The models got better.
